NORD DDB #sistabriefen

In the anti-harassment movement #metoo over 2200 women working in the Swedish communication industry went out with a call to action under the hashtag: #sistabriefen (#lastbrief). And of course we wanted to reply on the brief, because it is about creating a safe and respectful work environment.

This is our reply:

NORD DDB #sistabriefen
We received, accepted and of course welcomed the action #sistabriefen.
During the year we’ve started some initiatives to support the #metoo-movement, but there is more that can be done.

WHAT HAVE WE DONE
During autumn, we actively pursued gender equality issues and conducted workshops on the subject - which were mandatory for all employees. By talking openly about the subject, we have made sure that everyone has a common knowledge base, which has contributed to good discussions on the topic.
In addition, we have supported the newly started project "Kreatörskvinnor" financially as it is a project that inspires us and puts the industry in the right direction.

WHAT WILL WE DO FURTHER
We promise to:• Have zero tolerance against discrimination, harassment and abuse - both among employees and our clients.
• Recognize, update and inform our employees about our sexual harassment policy. The policy must be approved with a signature by all employees.
• Update the agency's values and share it with our clients.
• Continuously work for an open and transparent culture towards our clients and partners with the goal of sharing a common value base.
• Continue developing our gender equality work through our appointed gender equality and diversity group. Based on our completed workshops, the group will analyze the results and make concrete proposals for change. The group also has the task of creating concrete initiatives to be penetrated throughout the agency.
• Continue to have gender equality as a standing point during our joint agency meetings that take place twice a month. All in order to remind the importance of working actively with gender equality, as well as raising discussions on the subject and making them a natural part of everyday life and the work environment.
• Focus further on our internal culture, as we believe that people who know each other are kinder and more respectful to each other.
• Ensure that the communication we produce is free from harmful norms and sexism, and we will use "Amanda Oxell Checklist for Equal Advertising & Market Communication" as an aid.
