Is the world’s most valuable metal the one that costs us the most or the environment the least? Does range anxiety come as standard when you buy an electric car? Can we ever fly with a clear conscience? Is all plastic bad plastic? Vattenfall has committed to an ambitious goal of fossil free living within one generation. To get there, it’s collaborating with partners from far beyond the energy sector to decarbonise whole industries. But research shows that people have a hard time imagining what a fossil free future actually looks like, because they’re held back by conventional preconceptions. So in this campaign we decided to paint a picture of what the near future holds, by asking the questions that challenge those preconceptions. In answer, we showed the innovations that Vattenfall is working on today so we can all live fossil free tomorrow. The campaign ran across all Vattenfall’s markets, and included TVC, OLV, OOH, print, social media and a website where people can find out more about how Vattenfall thinks beyond. The result – consideration for Vattenfall reached an all-time high in August 2022.
