Gut with ice cream cone in the forhead

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the beloved classic ice-cream cone Jättis, Unilever Ingman wanted to create a new ice-cream variant and campaign for it. Based on trend analysis and desk study, NORD DDB Helsinki supported the client in creating a new taste variant for the iconic Jättis ice-cream cone.

We started by designing the branding and packaging for Jättis Unicorn – to create a new product that would appeal to ice-cream lovers and celebrate 40 years of Jättis. The project followed our NORD DDB packaging artwork design process.

To support the new product, NORD DDB created a campaign which played with the similarities between a unicorn’s horn and an ice-cream cone. Supported by striking visuals in the packaging and the campaign, Jättis Unicorn became a success with every third person in Finland tasting it. Moreover, the visuals inspired people to try it on their own heads and share their experiences on social media.
